Passion is what I have.
Challenges are what I seek.
Success is what I deliver.
My life started back in the January of 1972. I was born in Pietermaritzburg (KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa) and I completed all my schooling there. For many years we lived on a small subsistence farm in a nondescript place, too small to call a town, with exactly one tarred road running through it. Here we farmed vegetables, harvested eggs from the multitude of chickens, kept ducks, my horse, the odd sheep, and generally lived off the land.
From an early age I fell in love with learning about the world around me. I was privileged to be introduced to books and the love of them from a young age. My earliest recollections of visits to the library are picking out non-fiction books on volcanoes, dinosaurs, earthquakes, and, in general, the world around me.
In 1990 my career in Information Technology started when I installed my first computer network. I instantly fell in love with computer networking and the opportunities it unlocks for businesses to transform the use of resources, data, and communication.
I am passionate about the sharing of knowledge. I love investing in the training and development of people from all walks of life. To see another person grow whether personally or professionally is immensely rewarding for me.
I am committed to lifelong learning, continually seeking out opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.
When I undertake anything I do so with passion. Everything that this life may throw at me I see as a challenge. It is my ambition to turn each challenge into resounding success. It doesn’t matter if the challenge is a new recipe or a new project at the office – passion is what I have, success is what I deliver.
Yours in lifelong learning,
